UNA LUZ

The next song to record after “Volar” would now be “Mitómano”. The band members met several times by video call and so agreed. But a change at the last minute made Miguel José decide on another song he wrote that fit better with "Volar", since "Mitómano" had a different cut. The new song chosen was "Deseos de Amar", which also incorporated pop rock airs, and would be like a continuation of the first single. In addition, "Deseos de Amar" had already been recorded before by the ex-band of Miguel José and Vitto, Plommo Ratta, but only partially, since it was never finished. Toño also knew the tune, because Miguel José composed it in 1994, a time when both of them always were together composing songs. The only one who took the change of topic by surprise was Phelan, who was unaware of the song, added to the fact that he had already been practicing the arrangements for “Mitómano” several days ago. For a couple of nights, Toño and Miguel José met virtually for several hours by video call to put together a demo of "Deseos de Amar".

Just before the recording of the song began, Miguel José changed the name of the song and called it "Una Luz", because they were the first words with which the lyrics of the tune began. The reason for this change was due to a suggestion from Phelan, as the original name sounded a bit corny for the band's claims. Thus, Vitto, in Athens, begins with the first drum demo on November 19, 2022. The next day, Toño, Phelan and Miguel José begin the recordings in Lima at MCA Studios hand in hand, again, with the Recording Engineer Miguel Angel Yance. This time, Miguel José would sing the main voice again, and Phelan and Toño the choirs. The guitars, bass, keyboards and vocals were recorded consecutively, to be later mixed at MCA Studios as well.

On the last day of mixing, December 17, at the request of Toño, who was unable to attend due to being ill, Miguel Ángel Yance incorporated into the song some piccolo trumpet lines with the synthesizer, and also some maracas and tambourines, thus ending round off the final sound of the theme. The next day, “Una Luz” was sent to Hitmakers Mastering for mastering.

Again, Gerardo Larrea designed the official cover of the song, and eleven days later, on December 29, "Una Luz" was released on all platforms worldwide.
